“Whoever builds, or helps to build, a Masjid for Allah’s sake, Allah will build a house for them in Paradise.” (Sahih Hadith.)

Crawley Borough Council has given the planning consent to extend our existing Masjid to about four times. Above is the new elevation. The new building will accommodate about 1800 people and 350 children for Islamic education.

The new facilities are to include:

•Two general purpose large Praying halls

•5 fully fitted classrooms, a library and a resource centre, double up as praying area

•Separate facilities for ladies

•Mortuary

•Large Kitchen and separate wodoo facilities for men and women

•A Maisonette for Imam’s residence

Our vision is to use Mosque as a conduit to recapitulate the dignity and pride into our community to advance spiritual development, raise awareness of Islamic values and social well-being, whilst providing first class facilities for worshiping, cultural and religious education for adults and children, Nikkah, funeral rites, spiritual guidance and counseling, disputes resolution and mediation, community development and youth engagement. We shall Inshallah achieve this through regeneration and empowerment.

Currently there is not enough space for Praying as people have to stand outside exposed to treacherous whether condition on Fridays to Pray Jummah Prayers. It is also deterring others to come to Masjid because of lack of space as people have to go back without Salaat on occasion.

In addition, we have introduced a well structured 5 years Islamic Education Program ( Mon-Fri, 5.00 pm- 7.00 pm) in the Masjid providing a structured syllabus, examination and certification. These children are currently taught in make-shift class rooms in corridors of the Masjid without basic teaching aids or facilities. We have already run out of even corridor spaces to educate our children and the waiting list is growing. This is due to increase in Muslim population in our town but to provide adequate environment for teaching and learning our beautiful religion as a role model for our youth, children and invite others to our beautiful Dean.

The construction cost of new extension through competitive tenders stands at £1,232,000 (one million two hundred thirty two thousand) and we have a sum of about £152,000 (one hundred and fifty two thosand) in the Bank against the required total. As you can see we have a huge shortfall and a long way to go. In this regard we need your support, please donate your generous contribution for this noble cause, you could make a single cash/cheque donation or monthly by standing order., (form printed overleaf), you can purchase a guaranteed repayable bond for 3 years, 5years or 7 years as a KURZA-a-HUSNA. For an amount you can Loan to Allah for the construction of his house.

The construction will be approached in two stages, first stage will involve Rainproof shell and Envelope - which is priced by the contractor at £523,013 (five hundred twenty three thousand and zero one three) excluding VAT. This is what we need to complete phase one within a short period available.
